March 🐣📚🍪☘️

We started off the month with a ‘Book Tasting’ to mark World Book Day! 6th Class went to an imaginary restaurant to ‘taste’ different book genres!

The class also sent in photos of bookmarks they made and of them reading in unusual places!

The Write a Book winners were announced. Well done to Marianna and to the runners up, Ivor, Aoibhinn and Liam!

We watched the this year’s Oscar-winning short animated film ‘The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse’ and then had a video call with Lisa, one of the animators! We asked her lots of questions about her job.

During Seachtain na Gaeilge, 6th class ran the ‘Siopa Gaeilge’. Other classes came to our room to by items while only speaking Irish!

Ms Whittle, a 4th Year Student Teacher, taught us for a few weeks. We did lots of fun activities with her!

6th Class also created and presented two projects in groups this month. One about World Religions and one looking at the main figures of 1916.

We had 8 weeks of Irish Sign Language lessons with an amazing teacher named Jenny.

We’ve been doing Dance lessons with Veronika. Here’s a video of us performing at the end of term dance show: https://photos.app.goo.gl/YdCNaSubMRbCpPiB7

Finally, both the boys are girls made it to the Leinster hockey finals! We are so proud of them all and so impressed with the supporters. 😊

Have a lovely Easter, everyone!
